We want you to love every piece you receive from us. If something isn't right, here's everything you need to know about returning an item.
Before You Return — Please Read
We are a small batch, handcrafted swimwear brand. Every piece is made by skilled women artisans and produced in limited quantities. We ask that you review this policy carefully before purchasing, particularly our final sale terms, so there are no surprises after your order arrives.
Do We Offer Exchanges?
We do not offer exchanges. If you need a different size or style, please return your original item for a refund and place a new order. This ensures you secure your preferred size quickly, as our pieces are produced in small batches and sell out fast.
Eligibility — What Can Be Returned?
We accept returns on full-price items that meet all of the following conditions:
- Item is unworn and unwashed
- Tried on over underwear only
- Hygienic liner is fully intact and undamaged
- Free from stains, makeup, deodorant, self-tanner, and any bodily fluids
- No strong odours (perfume, smoke, detergent, or body odour)
- All original tags attached
- Returned in original packaging including the eco-cotton bag
Items that do not meet these standards will not be eligible for a refund and will be discarded. Sandy Bottom Swimwear reserves the right to determine return eligibility upon inspection.
Return Window
You must notify us within 10 days of your delivery date to initiate a return.
Once your return is approved, your item must be received by us within 20 days of your original delivery date.
Returns requested or received outside of these windows will not be accepted.
How to Request a Return
- Email sales@sandybottomswimwear.com within 10 days of delivery
- Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and a brief reason
- We will respond with approval or follow-up questions within 2 business days
- Once approved, we will send you return instructions and your shipping options
Return Shipping Options
We do not provide free return labels. We offer two options:
Option 1 — Sandy Bottom Preferred Carrier Label We will provide you with a shipping quote through one of our preferred carriers based on your location and the weight of your return. Labels start from $25. The exact cost will be confirmed before you commit. Once accepted, we will email you the prepaid label and the label fee will be deducted from your refund.
Option 2 — Ship It Yourself You may return your item using any shipping method of your choice. The return address will be provided upon approval. Sandy Bottom Swimwear is not responsible for lost, delayed, or untracked returns. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service.
Please note: Customers using the ship it yourself option are responsible for any duties, customs fees, tariffs, or carrier charges. Sandy Bottom Swimwear is not responsible for these fees and if billed will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of our receiving and inspecting your return. Your bank or payment provider may take up to an additional 10 business days to reflect the credit.
Shipping fees, duties, customs taxes, and tariffs are non-refundable.
Final Sale — No Returns, No Exchanges, No Exceptions
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged under any circumstances:
- Items discounted 20% or more, including all sitewide sales and sale collection items
- Orders placed using a discount code of 20% or more
- Items from the Sandy Sale collection
- Accessories including jewellery, sandals, bandanas, sarongs, scarves, pashminas, towels, hats, handbags, sunglasses, and beauty items
- Returns requested after 10 days from the delivery date
- Items received by us more than 20 days after the original delivery date
We clearly communicate our final sale terms on each product page. By completing a purchase during a sale or with a qualifying discount code, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
International Returns (Outside USA & Canada)
International return requests are accepted subject to the same eligibility and window requirements above. Once your return is approved, we will provide a shipping quote based on your location. If you choose to proceed, this cost will be deducted from your refund along with any duties, customs fees, or carrier charges billed to Sandy Bottom upon receipt.
Non-Refundable Costs
The following are never refunded regardless of the return outcome:
- Original shipping fees paid at checkout
- Return label fees
- Duties, customs taxes, and tariffs
- Carrier charges billed to Sandy Bottom on receipt of return
