Shipping Information

Shipping Responsibilities
- Once an order leaves our facility, we are no longer responsible for it.
- We are not responsible for courier delays, lost, stolen, or misplaced packages. If an issue arises, please contact the courier directly for assistance.

Important Update for U.S. Orders 🇺🇸
As of May 2, 2025, the U.S. government has introduced a new trade policy that removes duty and tariff exemptions for any items manufactured in China. This applies regardless of where the product is shipped from or its value. That means even orders under $800 USD—previously exempt under Section 321 De Minimis—will now incur tariffs if the item is made in China. The specific rate charged depends on how U.S. Customs classifies the product.
While Section 321 remains in place for most goods, this new policy applies exclusively to items with Chinese country-of-origin manufacturing.
What This Means for Sandy Bottom Customers
As of May 3, 2025, all items available on our website are manufactured in Italy, Colombia, Indonesia, or Brazil and are not impacted by the May 2 tariff policy change.
We’ve removed any China-made products from our catalog to avoid additional complications or unexpected charges for our U.S. customers.
Our team remains in close communication with customs officials and will continue to update this page if further trade changes occur.

Customs, Duties & Import Fees
For orders shipped outside of Canada—including to the United States—additional duties, tariffs, or taxes may apply upon arrival. Buyers are responsible for any customs charges imposed by their local government. Sandy Bottom is not responsible for these additional costs, and shipping fees, duties, and import taxes are non-refundable.
We strongly encourage all international customers to check their country’s import regulations before placing an order, as fees vary by location and classification.

Currency & Exchange Rates
- All prices are quoted and processed in USD.
- For Canadian orders, prices will be converted to CAD at checkout, and local taxes will be applied.
- For all other international orders, exchange rates are determined by your bank or credit card provider.

Many of our styles run small and are designed for a sleek, flattering fit. Most of our swim bottoms are cheeky and minimal coverage, not full coverage.
To find your perfect fit, please review the product descriptions and size charts carefully. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help! Email us at sales@sandybottomswimwear.com, and we’ll personally guide you to the best size for you.
If there is an issue with your products or have received incorrect or defective merchandise, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order at sales@sandybottomswimwear.com and we will be happy to assist you.
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us immediately at sales@sandybottomswimwear.com. We’re happy to process a cancellation as long as your order has NOT shipped.
Once an order has been shipped, it CANNOT be canceled. Please double-check your order before placing it.
If your package is already on its way, please refer to our return and store credit policies for available options.
Return Policy
We want you to feel confident, beautiful, and completely in love with your Sandy Bottom purchase. But if something isn’t quite right, we’ve made the return process simple and clear — so you can shop with peace of mind.
We offer refunds on eligible items (see conditions below). While we do not offer direct exchanges, you’re welcome to return an item and place a new order in your preferred size or style.
How to Request a Return
To start a return, email us at sales@sandybottomswimwear.com within 10 days of delivery. Please include:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- A short reason for the return
Once approved, we’ll provide return instructions. You can choose from the following return options:
Option 1: Prepaid Return Label – $25 Flat Fee (USA & Canada)
We’ll email you a prepaid return label. A $25 flat fee will be deducted from your refund to cover the label cost.
We do not offer free return shipping.
- Pack items in original (or similar) packaging and include your order confirmation
- Attach the label and drop it off at any authorized carrier location
- Once we receive and inspect your return, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 2–5 business days
- Please allow up to 10 business days for your bank to reflect the refund
Option 2: Ship It Yourself
Prefer to use your own carrier? No problem.
- We’ll provide our return address once your request is approved
- Use a trackable shipping method and keep your receipt
- Any customs duties, courier fees, or tariffs billed to Sandy Bottom will be deducted from your refund
- We are not responsible for lost or delayed returns
International Returns (Outside the USA & Canada)
Once your return is approved, we’ll provide a shipping quote based on your location. This amount will be deducted from your refund if you proceed.
Return Eligibility & Hygiene Standards
To protect the health and safety of our customers and staff, returned swimwear must meet strict hygiene standards:
- Unworn, unwashed, and in original condition.
- Tried on over underwear only.
- Hygienic liner must remain fully intact and not removed or repositioned.
- Returned items must be free of any bodily fluids, including sweat, urine, or blood.
- No stains from deodorant, makeup, or self-tanner.
- No strong or lingering odours including perfume, smoke, detergent, or body odour.
- Must include all original tags, eco cotton bag, and branded packaging.
If an item is found to be soiled, worn, or fails to meet our hygiene standards, it will be discarded and not refunded. Sandy Bottom reserves the right to determine return eligibility upon inspection.
Non-Refundable Items
We do not accept returns on:
- Items returned after 10 days from delivery.
- Items marked Final Sale, including our Sandy Sale Collection and all items discounted by 25% or more.
- Items purchased using discount codes of 25% or more, including Site Wide Sales.
- Accessories including jewelry, sandals, towels, hats, handbags, sunglasses, beauty products, or pool toys
- Original shipping fees
Holiday Return Policy
We get it — gifting can be tricky.
For peace of mind, we offer extended returns for store credit only on regular-priced items purchased between December 1 and December 26. These items may be returned for store credit until January 2.
This does not apply to items discounted by 25% or more.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please email sales@sandybottomswimwear.com within 5 days of delivery.
- Photographic or video evidence may be required
- If the item is deemed faulty, we will cover the return shipping and send a replacement at no cost to you

Our suits are designed with a cheeky fit and tend to run small. We strongly recommend checking the size guide on each product page before placing your order.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR SWIMSUIT
To ensure your Sandy Bottom swimsuit retains its vibrant colors and perfect shape, follow these care tips:
- Avoid sitting on rough surfaces to prevent fabric damage.
- After swimming in the sea or pool, hand wash your swimsuit with a gentle detergent to remove salt and chlorine. Hang or lay it flat to dry.
- Be mindful when applying suntan lotion and oils, as they can stain the fabric.
