P.O.V. THAT TIME SANDY BOTTOM TOOK OVER ST.LUCIA

There are some trips that feel less like projects and more like homecomings. This one? This one was personal.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know Sandy Bottom was born from the confidence, strength, and softness I saw in the women who raised me back home in St. Lucia. The way they moved: unbothered, assured, glowing without trying. That energy shaped me. It shaped this brand.

So when the opportunity came to take Sandy Bottom back to the St.Lucia for our latest shoot, I didn’t just pack bikinis. I packed memories, pride, and a deep need to show the world what I’ve always known: St. Lucian women are magic.

And let me tell you, they delivered.

"THERE IS NOT 'PRETEND YOU'RE CONFIDENT.' THERE WAS ONLY REAL CONFIDENCE. THE KIND YOU FEEL IN YOUR BONES."

THE VIBE?

Picture this:

  • Sunrise meeting the sea, soft and slow, warming everything it touches.

  • The Pitons in the distance, steady and calm, like they’ve been waiting for us to show up.

  • Laughter that carries, coconut water in hand, music drifting from someone’s phone without anyone remembering who pressed play.

  • A group of women hyping each other up like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

There was no “pretend you’re confident.” Just the real kind.  Quiet, relaxed, the kind that settles in when the vibes are good and the company is better. The kind you feel in your bones.

We shot on beaches I’ve swam at since I was a child.  Walked roads I know like muscle memory.

And the whole day felt like the island was gently saying,
“Welcome home. Let’s show them.”

"WOMEN WHO KNOW THAT BEAUTY ISN'T SOMETHING YOU MANUFACTURE. IT'S SOMETHING YOU CARRY."

THE WOMEN?

This part matters the most.

The models, the photographers, the glam teams, the assistants, almost entirely St. Lucia women.

Women who brought their talent, their spirit, and their energy to every moment of the shoot. Women who understand this island in their bones.

Women who know that beauty isn’t something you manufacture.  It’s something you carry.  It’s shaped by where you’re from, what you’ve lived through, and the community that raised you. And in St. Lucia, that beauty shows up effortlessly.

Watching them step in front of the camera felt like watching my younger self, right here on St.Lucia; quietly learning how to be fearless, how to stand tall, how to trust her own presence.

These women didn’t “perform” confidence.  They embodied it. In their ease. In their laughter. In the way they hyped each other up between shots like it was second nature.

They reminded me that confidence on St. Lucia hits different.  It’s lived, it’s shared, and it’s rooted in the strength of women who know exactly who they are.

"AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF ST.LUCIA, EACH PIECE TOOK ON A LIFE OF IT'S OWN."

THE LOOKS THAT ROCKED THE ISLAND?

These weren’t just swimsuits.  They owned every moment.

Against the backdrop of St. Lucia, each piece took on a life of its own, catching the light, the movement, and the mood of the island in a way only Sandy Bottom can.

The standouts?

  • PAM — the golden-hour goddess, glowing and sculpted, made for sunsets and soft breezes.

  • BIANCA — hand-knotted macramé shaped like a shell, a true artisanal masterpiece.

  • MARINA — refined, elegant, and effortlessly chic.  Quiet luxury in one perfect one-piece.

  • CELESTE — elevated boho at its best, a handcrafted crochet bikini with flirty, feminine energy.

  • ZOE — spicy red, convertible, and bold—the bikini that changes with every sunset (and every mood).

These pieces didn’t just blend into St. Lucia.  They became part of its rhythm, its heat, its magic.
