A tiny garden, built entirely by hand. Made in Greece by a family atelier where craftsmanship still comes before speed.
The Rhea Triangle Bikini Top begins with the simplest of silhouettes and turns it into something you have to see up close. Against a soft blush base, pastel blue, aqua, peach and yellow blooms are created from individually placed beads, sequins, crystals and dimensional appliqués. Some flowers are built bead by bead. Others are layered petal by petal. Together, they create a surface that feels almost alive with texture.
And because no two hands work in exactly the same way, each Rhea carries the subtle individuality of the person who made it.
The classic triangle silhouette is deliberately minimal, with adjustable neck and back ties that allow you to personalize the fit. Nothing distracts from the handwork. Nothing needs to.
Pair it with the Rhea Tie-Side Bikini Bottom to complete the set.
The Hands Behind It
Rhea is part of Sandy Bottom's first collection made in Greece, handcrafted by the same small family atelier behind Elani and Daphne.
The atelier was founded by a woman during one of Greece's most challenging economic periods. What began as her creative passion became a family business, and today her two daughters work alongside her, continuing a way of making that values patience over production quotas.
Every Rhea top is embellished entirely by hand.
The larger circular flowers are constructed from rows of tiny beads. Sequins are layered into delicate petals. Crystals form sparkling centres. Smaller flowers, leaves and botanical details are stitched throughout the design until the fabric beneath becomes a miniature embroidered garden.
There is no machine that creates Rhea. There are only skilled hands, working detail by detail.
Why It's Priced This Way
Turn Rhea into a plain triangle bikini and its shape is beautifully simple.
Everything that makes it extraordinary happens afterward.
Someone has to create those flowers. Someone has to choose where each bead goes. Someone has to build the layers, stitch the sequins, place the crystals and move across two small pieces of fabric until almost every inch tells you a human hand has been there.
That's the part you're paying for.
The price of Rhea reflects intricate hand-beading, multiple embellishment techniques, premium materials and the skilled work required to create each piece in Greece.
We don't price craftsmanship as an extra.
Craftsmanship is the product.
Why Greece?
Our search for extraordinary makers has taken Sandy Bottom around the world.
Colombia. Brazil. Italy.
And now, Greece.
We didn't choose Greece and then go looking for something to make there. We found a family of makers whose values felt like ours thoughtful production, exceptional craftsmanship and the belief that fewer, better pieces are worth protecting.
That's what brought us here.
And Rhea is part of the first Sandy Bottom collection to tell that story.
Made in Limited Quantities
You cannot build flowers one bead at a time and make thousands of them overnight.
Rhea is produced in intentionally limited quantities, giving the atelier the time required to create its intricate embellishment properly.
For us, limited production isn't about making something harder to get.
It's about giving people enough time to make it beautifully.

At Sandy Bottom, every piece is curated with intention and crafted with care. To keep your swimsuit looking vibrant and beautiful, we recommend the following:
For Beaded & Hand-Embroidered Pieces
Our beaded and hand-embroidered styles are made stitch by stitch and bead by bead, so they call for a little extra care:
Hand wash only, and as gently as possible. Never soak, scrub, or wring.
Turn the piece inside out before washing to protect the beadwork and embroidery.
Never machine wash or machine dry. Beads and threads can loosen, catch, or fall off.
Store flat or loosely folded, away from jewelry, zippers, or anything that could snag the beadwork.
Minor bead loss with wear over time is normal for handcrafted pieces, not a defect. It's part of what makes each one made by hand, not by machine.
Remember, your Sandy Bottom swimsuit is a small-batch work of art. With the right care, it will stay stunning season after season.
