Some hats are simply accessories.
Others are wearable art.
The Cayet Hat by WOMA Hats is handcrafted in Colombia from 100% Toquilla straw, using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations of artisans.
From fibre to finished hat, the creation process can take up to 4–6 weeks. Natural fibres are carefully harvested, cleaned, cooked, dyed, and dried before an artisan begins the meticulous process of weaving the straw strand by strand by hand. Once the weave is complete, the hat is hand-pressed, shaped, and finished in the studio, giving it its distinctive structure and character.
The Cayet features a structured crown and wide brim, finished with a raw, frayed edge that adds texture and an organic feel. What makes this piece especially unique is its hand-dyed tie-dye finish in soft blue tones, giving the natural straw a subtle, artistic pattern where no two hats are exactly alike.
A hand-finished band wraps the crown, adding depth and quiet detail while keeping the focus on the hat’s natural materials and craftsmanship.
Lightweight, breathable, and full of character, the Cayet is designed for sun-filled days, coastal escapes, and moments when a simple outfit deserves a statement piece.
