One of only 30. Hand-beaded by Patricia and her team in Cartagena, Colombia.
Aqua, gold, deep navy, and sea green climb across a plunging neckline and high-cut leg in hand-beaded florals that catch the light with every step. This is the most intricate piece we have ever made. This is closer to wearable art than a swimsuit. It took 100 hours, start to finish, to exist.
The Hands Behind It
Every Aqua One Piece begins as a hand-drawn sketch, designed by Patricia and her team of master beaders and embroiderers based in Cartagena, Colombia. From that sketch, she and her team embroider each flower, each vine, each bead — one stitch, one bead at a time. No machines. No shortcuts. Just 100 hours of patient, practiced handwork per piece, the equivalent of two and a half full work weeks for one piece of swimwear.
Why It's Priced This Way
A piece like this can't be rushed, and it can't be mass-produced. The price reflects what it actually costs to make it right: fair wages for Patricia and her team, premium beading materials, and roughly 100 hours of skilled handwork no machine can replicate. When you buy this piece, you're not just buying a swimsuit — you're funding real wages for the woman who made it, one bead at a time. This is the cost of craft, not the cost of a label.
Only 30 Pieces
We made only 30 of these, individually numbered, and we will not make more. Once they sell, this design retires for good. No restock, no reprint. Small batches aren't a marketing choice for us. They're the only way pieces like this can exist.

At Sandy Bottom, every piece is curated with intention and crafted with care. To keep your swimsuit looking vibrant and beautiful, we recommend the following:
For Beaded & Hand-Embroidered Pieces
Our beaded and hand-embroidered styles are made stitch by stitch and bead by bead, so they call for a little extra care:
Hand wash only, and as gently as possible. Never soak, scrub, or wring.
Turn the piece inside out before washing to protect the beadwork and embroidery.
Never machine wash or machine dry. Beads and threads can loosen, catch, or fall off.
Store flat or loosely folded, away from jewelry, zippers, or anything that could snag the beadwork.
Minor bead loss with wear over time is normal for handcrafted pieces, not a defect. It's part of what makes each one made by hand, not by machine.
Remember, your Sandy Bottom swimsuit is a small-batch work of art. With the right care, it will stay stunning season after season.
