Hannia Char celebrates the artistry of local craftsmanship by working hand-in-hand with skilled artisans across Latin America. Each piece is made using natural fibers from endemic species—most notably 100% toquilla straw—transforming age-old techniques into contemporary luxury.
These aren’t just hats. They’re wearable art—each one a reflection of heritage, skill, and soul. Every curve, weave, and knot is the work of masterful hands whose stories are threaded into the very fabric of the design. We proudly uphold fair labor practices, ensuring that the women and men behind each piece are respected, supported, and empowered as creators—not just workers.
From sun-soaked beach days to chic resort escapes, Hannia Char hats blend tradition, style, and individuality. They're made to turn heads—and to honour the hands that make that possible.
Every Hannia Char piece tells a story—woven with pride, playfulness, and purpose.

At Sandy Bottom, we celebrate timeless craftsmanship and your hat is no exception. Each one is made with care to last for seasons under the sun.
Keep your hat dry. It’s made for sunshine, not showers. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated space with the top of the crown facing down.
For light stains, gently wipe with a damp cloth in lukewarm water and mild soap. For deeper marks, consult your local hatter.
If your brim loses shape, place a cotton cloth over it and iron with low heat until smooth.
Store in its dust bag or box, upside down or on a hat hanger. Never in direct sunlight or at the back of a car. This dries out the straw, which in turn can misshapen and crack it.
Remember, your Sandy Bottom Hat is a true work of art.
Treat it with care, and it will keep you shining for a lifetime.
