The Spiciest Piece We Make
Handcrafted by Natalia and her team of artisans in Bogotá, Colombia. Produced in intentionally limited quantities.
Some swimsuits make a statement.
Aren starts the conversation.
Handcrafted entirely by hand using traditional macramé techniques, Aren is unlike anything else in the Sandy Bottom collection. Every strand is individually hand-dyed before being carefully knotted into a sculptural silhouette that celebrates craftsmanship as much as the woman wearing it.
A dramatic plunging neckline, open macramé construction and adjustable side ties create a silhouette that's bold, confident and unapologetically feminine. Rich in texture and alive in the sunlight, Aren feels less like swimwear and more like wearable art.
This isn't the swimsuit you wear to blend in.
It's the one they remember.
The Hands Behind It
Every Aren One Piece is handcrafted by Natalia and her team of skilled artisans in Bogotá, Colombia.
Each piece takes more than 40 hours to create as every strand is individually hand-dyed before being carefully knotted into place using traditional macramé techniques. Unlike machine-made swimwear, every knot is tied by hand, creating subtle variations that make each Aren uniquely its own.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike -- a reflection of the women whose craftsmanship brings every Aren to life.
What Makes Aren Different
Macramé is woven by hand not knitted like traditional swimwear.
Because of this, Aren has less natural stretch than conventional swimsuits and is intentionally designed to fit close to the body.
If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit.
The result is a beautifully sculpted silhouette with remarkable texture and dimension that simply can't be achieved with traditional swim fabric.
Why It's Priced This Way
Aren reflects the time, craftsmanship and artistry invested in every piece.
Each swimsuit requires more than 40 hours of skilled handwork, from individually dyeing every strand to meticulously knotting the macramé construction by hand.
Because we produce in intentionally small batches, we never benefit from the large production discounts available to mass-market brands. Instead, every piece reflects fair wages for the women who create it, exceptional craftsmanship, and the time required to make something truly unique.
This isn't the cost of mass production.
It's the value of craftsmanship.
Limited Production
Like every Sandy Bottom collection, Aren is produced in intentionally limited quantities.
Created slowly, by hand, and never mass produced, every piece represents the time, patience and artistry required to preserve traditional craftsmanship.
Some pieces follow trends.
Aren creates its own.

At Sandy Bottom, every piece is curated with intention and crafted with care. To keep your swimsuit looking vibrant and beautiful, we recommend the following:
• Avoid sitting on rough surfaces to prevent snags or fabric damage.
• After swimming, gently hand wash with mild detergent to remove salt, chlorine, and chemicals.
• Lay flat to dry in a shaded area. Never use a dryer or lay in direct sunlight.
• Apply sunscreen and oils with care, as they may stain delicate fabrics.
Remember, your Sandy Bottom swimsuit is a small-batch work of art. With the right care, it will stay stunning season after season.
