Every Camila Beaded Bikini Bottom is handcrafted by Patricia and her team of women artisans in Cartagena, Colombia.
Each piece requires approximately 10 hours of meticulous hand-beading and embroidery, with every bead and embroidered detail applied entirely by hand. Working slowly and intentionally, Patricia and her team transform rare vintage textiles into extraordinary swimwear using techniques that simply cannot be replicated by machines.

Every Camila Bikini Bottom represents approximately 10 hours of skilled handwork by Patricia and her team, many of whom are mothers and heads of household. Every purchase helps support fair wages while preserving traditional craftsmanship that deserves to be celebrated.
Creating only 35 pieces means we never benefit from the massive production discounts available to larger brands. Instead, we invest in exceptional materials, rare vintage textiles, and the skilled artistry required to transform them into a piece you'll treasure for years to come.

Once the vintage textiles were gone, the collection was complete. Every piece includes a Certificate of Originality and Authenticity signed by Patricia, marking it as part of one of the rarest collections in the Sandy Bottom archive. Camila will never be reproduced.

I grew up on the shores of St. Lucia, where the water is warm, the days are long, and the women are strong. That island spirit shaped me. It gave me an eye for beauty, a love for bold colour, and a deep respect for women who do it all with grace.
Sandy Bottom started with a simple idea: what if I could create something that honoured the women I grew up around and the woman I was becoming?
When my daughter left for university, I decided to show her something important: that reinvention doesn’t have an age limit. That it’s never too late to build something from scratch. That betting on yourself is always worth it.
But this brand isn’t just about me. It’s about women everywhere. The artisans from Colombia to Italy, Bali to Brazil who hand make every piece with skill, heart, and tradition.
