Some pieces aren’t meant to blend in.
The Zinnia Hat by WOMA Hats is a bold celebration of craftsmanship, entirely handwoven in Colombia from 100% natural Toquilla straw using traditional techniques passed down through generations of artisans.
Like all WOMA hats, the creation process begins long before the hat takes shape. Natural fibers are harvested, cleaned, cooked, dyed, and dried before an artisan begins the meticulous work of weaving the straw strand by strand by hand. Once the weave is complete, the hat is hand-shaped and finished in the studio, creating its distinctive sculptural silhouette. The process can take up to 4–6 weeks to complete.
The Zinnia is designed with an oversized wide brim and structured crown, giving it a dramatic presence while remaining surprisingly lightweight and breathable. The brim is intentionally left raw and unfinished, creating a beautifully organic edge that reflects the natural origins of the material.
A vintage silk sari ribbon wraps the crown, adding subtle colour and character. Each ribbon carries its own history, making every hat slightly unique.
Bold in proportion yet grounded in natural materials, the Zinnia is more than a sun hat. It is a statement piece shaped by time, tradition, and the hands of true artisans.
