The Elani One Piece is where simplicity meets extraordinary handwork. Set against a brilliant Mediterranean blue, hundreds of hand-placed beads and sequins bloom across the front in dimensional florals, creating texture, movement and just enough shimmer when they catch the light. The clean scoop neckline, high-cut leg and dramatic open back keep the silhouette beautifully uncomplicated because when the craftsmanship looks like this, it doesn't need competition.

This isn't embellishment added for effect. Every flower, every bead and every sequin is placed entirely by hand. The result feels less like something manufactured and more like something collected on a summer somewhere along the Greek coast.

The Hands Behind It

Our search for extraordinary makers has taken us to Colombia, Brazil, Italy and now, for the first time, Greece.

Behind every Elani One Piece is a small family atelier founded during one of the country's most challenging economic periods. What began with one woman's creative passion has grown into a family business, with her two daughters now working alongside their mother and a small team of skilled artisans.

The techniques may be painstaking, but that's precisely the point. Each Eleni is embellished entirely by hand, with beads and sequins individually placed to build the dimensional flowers scattered across the swimsuit.

No mass-production mindset. No rushing the process. Just a family of makers who still believe that quality is measured in time, patience and attention to detail.

Those are exactly the makers Sandy Bottom is proud to partner with.

Why It's Priced This Way

Look closely at Elani and the answer is right there.

The tiny flowers scattered between larger blooms. The layers of sequins that give each petal dimension. The beads individually arranged at their centres. The subtle differences that come from something being created by human hands rather than reproduced by a machine.

This kind of work takes time, and that time has value.

The price of Elani reflects skilled handwork, intricate beading and sequin work, premium materials and the people behind every piece. We believe luxury shouldn't simply mean an expensive label. It should tell you something about how a piece was made, who made it and why their work matters.

Why Greece?

Every Sandy Bottom collection begins the same way.

Not with trends.

With people.

We search the world for makers whose values mirror our own.  Small ateliers where craftsmanship comes before speed, where pieces are made with intention, and where luxury is defined as much by the hands behind something as by the finished piece itself.

When we discovered this family atelier in Greece, we knew their work belonged at Sandy Bottom.

The Elani One Piece marks the beginning of our first Greek Collection and an entirely new chapter in our search for extraordinary craftsmanship around the world.

Made in Limited Quantities

Handwork like this was never meant for mass production.

Elani is produced in intentionally limited quantities, allowing the atelier to give each piece the time and attention its intricate embellishment requires. That means fewer pieces, slower production and something increasingly rare in fashion: a swimsuit that still carries the unmistakable touch of the people who made it.

Once our limited production is gone, it will not be restocked.

At Sandy Bottom, every piece is curated with intention and crafted with care. To keep your swimsuit looking vibrant and beautiful, we recommend the following:

For Beaded & Hand-Embroidered Pieces

Our beaded and hand-embroidered styles are made stitch by stitch and bead by bead, so they call for a little extra care:

Hand wash only, and as gently as possible. Never soak, scrub, or wring.

Turn the piece inside out before washing to protect the beadwork and embroidery.

Never machine wash or machine dry. Beads and threads can loosen, catch, or fall off.

Store flat or loosely folded, away from jewelry, zippers, or anything that could snag the beadwork.

Minor bead loss with wear over time is normal for handcrafted pieces, not a defect. It's part of what makes each one made by hand, not by machine.

Remember, your Sandy Bottom swimsuit is a small-batch work of art. With the right care, it will stay stunning season after season.

“This isn’t fast fashion.
This is swimwear with soul. This is resort wear with resonance.
This is style with a purpose.”

This One's Personal

I grew up on the shores of St. Lucia, where the water is warm, the days are long, and the women are strong. That island spirit shaped me. It gave me an eye for beauty, a love for bold colour, and a deep respect for women who do it all with grace.

Sandy Bottom started with a simple idea: what if I could create something that honoured the women I grew up around and the woman I was becoming?

When my daughter left for university, I decided to show her something important: that reinvention doesn’t have an age limit. That it’s never too late to build something from scratch. That betting on yourself is always worth it.

But this brand isn’t just about me. It’s about women everywhere. The artisans from Colombia to Italy, Bali to Brazil who hand make every piece with skill, heart, and tradition. The women keeping generations of craftsmanship alive while shaping futures of their own.. And the customers who choose slow fashion over fast trends, and impact over impulse.

Every Sandy Bottom piece is carefully curated and helps support real women with real stories. Women earning fair wages. Women preserving culture and craft. Women lifting each other up.

This isn’t fast fashion. This is swimwear with soul. This is resort wear with resonance. This is style with a purpose.

This is an international sisterhood.

xoxo,
Sanya.
