Alessia was never meant to blend in.

A deep blue vintage print is covered in intricate hand embroidery and beading, catching the light in tiny flashes as you move. Three rings trace the open sides, turning an already beautiful one-piece into something unexpected.

The scoop neckline, high-cut leg and cheeky back keep the silhouette unapologetically sexy. But look closer.  It’s the details you can only get from something made slowly, by hand, that make Alessia special.

More than 35 hours of hand beading and embroidery go into every Alessia.

Patricia and her team work directly onto each swimsuit, following the movement and placement of the vintage print with every stitch and bead. There is no machine recreating the pattern and no identical blueprint being repeated 40 times.  No two are quite exactly alike.

It is the kind of handwork where you can still see the person behind the piece.

And that is exactly the point.

WHY IT’S PRICED THE WAY IT IS

Because there are things you simply can't make quickly.

Alessia begins with vintage fabric we fell in love with knowing we would never be able to reproduce it. There was one finite amount. When it was gone, it was gone.

Then comes the work: more than 35 hours in the hands of Patricia and her team, embroidering and beading every suit individually.

The print falls differently on every piece. The handwork follows it differently. Tiny variations remain because human hands made it.

The price reflects what went into Alessia: time, skilled hands and something we can never make exactly the same way again.

LIMITED PRODUCTION

40 pieces. Ever.

We made as many Alessias as the vintage fabric would allow.

That number was 40.

There is no more fabric to order and no second roll to find. Once these 40 pieces are gone, Alessia in this print is finished.

And even among the 40, there isn't another one exactly like yours.

To keep your Sandy Bottom piece looking its best:

• Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent after wear.
• Avoid rough surfaces that may snag or damage the fabric.
• Lay flat to dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry.
• Take care with sunscreen, oils and lotions, as they may stain or discolour delicate fabrics.
• Never bleach, iron or dry clean.

A little extra care will keep your swimwear beautiful wear after wear.
